There are still plenty of Cobia around with some
very big fish that have been caught. Sight casting has seen wonderful
days and impossible days with extreme winds. The last two weeks has
seemed to produce more fish on top with the conditions are right and
I am certain that this will continue to occur until the middle of
June.
We are starting to see some foraging Redfish that
are displaying a little tail up above the water. These fish are wonderful
fly casting targets and should be here throughout the summer and into
the fall. As far as I am concerned these tailing reds make for the
most exciting fly fishing experiences on the east coast. Maybe it
is because they require something from you as a caster, maybe it is
the hunt for the fish or the visual of the tail but no matter it is
a very exciting fish to target.
Let us know when you want to get out on the
water. Tight Lines, Capt. Tuck Scott
