Cobia season is upon us!!! From now until the beginning
of June is already proving to have the makings for a prime Cobia season.
There have been quite a few fish caught off the rips and we expect
to start sight casting to them in the coming days. Right now the water
temperature is already in the low 70's so there should be a better
showing of fish this year over last year. The fish have been pretty
happy to hit both herring and live eels and the bait seems to be getting
thicker as each day goes by. We are getting extremely booked up for
the month of May so if you want to fish you need to call in soon.
I will make sure to keep you updated about the numbers of fish we
are seeing out there and when sight fishing starts to be highly productive.
Right now we are starting to look for redfish tails as well. So far
this seems to be a little early for tailing reds but I will keep you
updated on when we start seeing that in productive numbers.
Until Next Tide,
Capt. Tuck Scott
