The end of summer and fall marks an important time
of year as far as inshore boating goes. Fishing this time of year
is excellent for reds, trout and flounder and obviously the shrimping
is what many if not most of the boats are heading out on the river
for. It has continued to be a good tailing season through the end
of the summer and should continue to be that way until somewhere around
the beginning of November. After that the reds should be chasing shrimp
well for quite some time into December out on the mudflats.
I feel that this fall should produce an excellent
trout fishery, do to the fact that most people have had a lot of luck
finding large trout throughout the year so far. Flounder have been
pretty prolific as well though that is not something I spent as much
time targeting I have had a fair amount of them as by product while
fishing for trout and reds. The shrimp are thick and should make for
a great fishery this year.
I never have as much to write this time of
year because the fishing pretty much speaks for itself. Get out there
soon so you don't have regrets about not going enough once it gets
cold.
